Petrichor Studios: Meet the Team
We are Petrichor Studios a small group of developers currently enrolled in RIT's Game Design Master's program. For our program's capstone project, we are creating Mists of Thule, a 3D souls-like based on a medieval seaport. We're very excited to introduce all of you to the core members of the team.
Our team formed early in the summer of last year with one goal in mind: create a condensed souls-like experience that has the same design principles and feeling as one of the areas from the original Dark Souls. To do this we focused on first emulating before iterating. After three months of development, we have learned a lot about what makes the combat and level design of souls-likes so compelling. Over the next few months we'll be refining our mechanics, expanding our level, and creating beautiful painterly visuals.
